Andrew Fowerdew

Andrew Flowerdew MEng MSc CEng MIEI FCIArb is the Managing Director of CDRS Ltd.

Andrew is a Chartered Engineer who holds a Master of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering along with a Master of Science Degree in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from Kings College, London.

He is a CEDR accredited Mediator, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a member of the Institute of Engineers Ireland, the Adjudication Society, the Dispute Board Federation and the Society of Construction Law.

He has extensive experience within the civil engineering and building industry at a senior level and has worked on a wide range of major projects under a variety of forms of contract. Before commencing consultancy work Andrew as a main contractor's project manager gained hands on experience in all aspects of project management from design to final completion including the managing the design and tendering process, planning, project management, programming, financial settlement and post contract issues.

Examples of project involvement at a senior level include; mixed use commercial and residential buildings, major highway construction and motorway reconstruction, utility infrastructure, steel / concrete framed industrial buildings, pipelines and water retaining structures, landfill engineering, land remediation, recycling plants, river & marine works, power stations, natural gas terminals, oil refineries, rail infrastructure, airports and sewage/water treatment plants.

His experience in assisting and managing the resolution of claims/formal disputes ranges from small and medium sized projects to very large and complex multi billion dollar international projects in various locations around the world.

He has prepared expert reports for litigation, arbitration, adjudication and has given evidence on civil engineering and building projects before domestic and international tribunals on behalf of Employers, Main Contractors and Sub Contractors.

Andrew is also available for appointment to Tribunals and Dispute Boards.
